Meet Our 2026 Calvary Bible Institute Students

God had blessed us once again with students for this year of 2026! He not only brought to us Two students from outside the country but students from within our own church as well!

We are happy to let you get to know them, their backgrounds and how God led them to choose to enroll in our Calvary Bible Institute Luzon!

Let us introduce our students!

Thanh Quang “Thomas” Yang

Hailing from Vietnam, born into an ordinary family, but growing up with limitations, sin, and a deep sense of insecurity in his heart, he realized that human beings cannot save themselves, and only Jesus Christ can bring true forgiveness. He applied to CBI Luzon because he longs to be more firmly equipped in God’s Word to serve the Lord effectively in the ministry He has called him to.

Elena Joy Urizar Keery

She grew up in a Christian home, but it wasn’t until she turned 18 that she truly understood the sacrifice Christ made for us on the cross and was personally confronted with her own sin. She has a deep desire to grow in her understanding of the Scriptures and have always felt a strong passion for sharing the gospel. She wants to be fully equipped and prepared to share the message of salvation with love, compassion, and truth.

Pastor Clarence John Joaquin

Growing in the church himself, God has been with him through ups and downs. Having been in a constant Tug – O – War with God’s calling, he surrendered his life to follow his calling and be equipped in CBI Luzon to become an efficient and effective servant of the LORD.

Malcolm Yabia

Hailing from the Philippines, and was born in Bacolod, Negros Occidental, a place known as the “City of Smiles.” He was raised in a caring and loving family.
In 2010, he came to know the Lord Jesus and began serving in ministry. However, at that time, he did not have a deep relationship with God. He did not regularly read his Bible or pray, and he attended church mainly out of personal desire rather than genuine devotion.
In 2025, he came to understand the true love of God when the Lord removed the things he once considered important in his life. He considers this the year he was truly born again, as he now fully understands what it means to be a Christian. He firmly believes that salvation is not achieved by human works, but that Jesus alone is the way, the truth, and the life.
He is currently a student at C.B.I to grow deeper in his knowledge and to share the Good News about Jesus to every corner of the world.

Chester Dollison

He was raised in a religious environment and later became involved in a modern Christian church, actively serving in youth ministry. However, it was not until he came to understand the true message of the Biblical Gospel that his life was transformed. By God’s grace, he recognized his need for a Savior and came to repentance, placing his faith in Jesus Christ alone for salvation. With a growing passion for truth, he began sharing the Gospel with others and was eventually trained in biblical evangelism, further equipping him to proclaim God’s Word. Yet, during his college years, he drifted away from his walk with the Lord and fell into a life inconsistent with his faith. In God’s unfailing mercy, he was brought back to repentance and restored to a right relationship with Him. Now, with a renewed heart and desire to serve, he seeks to be re-equipped and grounded in Scripture. He is prayerfully pursuing training at CBI Luzon as part of his commitment to grow in his daily walk with Christ and to faithfully continue the work of evangelism.

Pastor Renier Morales

Once an atheist who rejected God and religion because of painful experiences, He relied solely on science and facts, and often challenged the existence of God. During a life-threatening event, he cried out and challenged God—if He truly existed, he asked Him to let him live, and he would believe. God spared his life. From that moment, he accepted Him, and now he live to believe in Him and serve Him. He’s applying to CBI Luzon as a minister and the successor of Cawayan Baptist Church. He’s actively involved in mission work across Southern Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao, and desires to be continually equipped for effective ministry. He believe this opportunity will help deepen his biblical knowledge, strengthen his leadership, and prepare him for greater responsibility in serving God’s people.

Jane Rose Andales – Daño

She once lived according to her own understanding and desires, often far from God’s will, until through life’s struggles and the hearing of God’s Word, she came to recognize her need for a Savior. By God’s grace, she understood that Jesus Christ died for her sins and rose again, and in repentance, she accepted Him as her personal Lord and Savior. Since then, the Lord has been continually transforming her life, giving her a new heart and a growing desire to follow His Word. She is now being trained and equipped at CBI Luzon to be grounded in Scripture and to faithfully fulfill God’s calling in her life.

Alberto “Thirdy” Alba III

He is a pastor’s kid. In the fourth grade, his father first shared the Gospel with him through Scripture and the song “Lord, I Lift Your Name on High.” Even then, the Lord was already calling his rebellious heart to serve Him. For more than a decade, he resisted that call. By God’s grace, he finally fully understood and surrendered to His calling on his life. He is now being trained and equipped at CBI Luzon to fulfill the Great Commission.
